ITV studios are teaming up with Weta studios in New Zealand (Weta did a lot of LOTR stuff) to make a reboot of golden oldie Thunderbird's. It looks like ITV have put a lot into it and with stars such as Gone Girls Rosamund Pike as Lady Penelope it's worth a watch at least. So far we only have the image shown below but apparently it will be a mix of CGI and old school puppetry.. that should be interesting to say the least.
The show is due to air in spring this year with at least 26 episodes to look forward to.
Rosamund Pike is providing the voice for Lady Penelope, while Kayvan Novak steps in as Brains and The Maze Runner's Thomas Brodie-Sangster lends his vocal tones to John Tracy. And David Graham, who played Parker in the original 1960s series, is back on duty. ITV is clearly confident about this one, picking up a second set of 26 episodes for broadcast next year. The first is scheduled to arrive in the spring.
