A 9 year old boy has been sent home from school after claiming to own 'the one ring'. Bless him. I've won a fair few hobbit compititions in my time...
After watching The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies with his family, Texan schoolboy Aiden Steward reacted like most nine-year-olds, and decided to claim ownership of the film's famous One Ring – an object of fearsome power, forged in Mount Doom by the Dark Lord Sauron. Sadly, Aiden's school didn't share his enthusiasm for Peter Jackson's series of JRR Tolkien adaptations: the eager Middle Earth fan ended up suspended from Kermit Elementary School, after telling a classmate that he could make him disappear. “It sounded unbelievable,” the boy’s father, Jason Steward, told the New York Daily News. “Kids act out movies that they see. When I watched Superman as a kid, I went outside and tried to fly.”
