And you may recognize him as Olaf from Frozen. Josh Gad the 'adorable' singing snowman is seemingly sticking with Disney for a while now. I look forward to seeing him as Le Fou (Gastons short plump side-kick from Beauty and the Beast) I can already see him being bossed around by Luke Evens (who will play Gaston) while dancing around the pub singing his title song Gaston;
"No one's slick as Gaston
No one's quick as Gaston
No one's neck's as incredibly thick as Gaston
For there's no man in town half as manly
Perfect, a pure paragon
You can ask any Tom, Dick or Stanley
And they'll tell you whose team they prefer to be on"
Gad will be Le Fou, Gaston’s stalwart, buffoonish sidekick. Bill Condon is directing this one, which appears to be hewing closer towards the model provided by Cinderella, where the script sticks more to the original story and doesn’t try to colour around the edges, as with Maleficent. The cameras should be rolling later this year. Gad, who has also reprised Olaf for short spin-off Frozen Fever (due in front of Cinderella on March 27), will next be seen in Adam Sandler action comedy Pixels, out August 12.
