I cannot explain to you how excited I am about this game. I have been working my way through previous Zelda games leading up to this (rumored) November release. Last year I completed the 10 year anniversary edition of Wind Waker on the Wii U and currently am taking my time replaying the original Wii's The Twilight Princess. I cannot choose a favorite, but I can tell you that I will not be replaying Skyward Sword. I hope that this new so far un-named Zelda game will be dark like Twilight Princess but also as fun as Wind Waker was, with plenty of side quests and roaming options. What I felt lacked from Skyward Sword was the ability to travel around freely. But the one thing we know for sure is that the map for this game will be huuuge! I can't wait!I CAN'T WAIT!!!
One thing we can be sure about with the new Legend of Zelda is that it takes place in a huge open world. And while it could be argued that all Zelda games are open-world (they are according to Aonuma, at least), this will be the first one to be completely seamless. "When I first showed off the new Zelda game on the Wii U, it seemed everyone was very excited and started proclaiming that a Zelda game had at last become open world!" Aonuma told GameReactor. "Zelda games have always allowed you to roam and explore a huge world. What's changed now is that the hardware has progressed to the point that you can now explore this vast world seamlessly; the underpinning of the game hasn't changed."
