Its easy to split Forbe's top paid actors list into gendered categories. But by doing so are we missing an opportunity to take a look at the wage gap between male and female actors?
Forbes has pointed out that a single list would include very few women. "Only four actresses made north of 20m dollars, while 21 male actors banked 20m dollars plus. In order to justly highlight the woman who are at the top of their industry, we split the lists"
Its very depressing to see that Emma Stone, Natalie Portman and Anne Hathaway are worth less than one Adam Sandler.
By splitting the annual pay lists between men and women, we’re missing a chance to highlight a pay disparity that means Hollywood can hire Emma Stone, Natalie Portman and Anne Hathaway for less than the price of one Adam Sandler
