I feel like I have been waiting for this movie forever despite never seeing any of Yargos Lanthimos's other films (Dogtooth 2009). The plot as far as I can make out centres around a world where people who are single must find a partner or face being turned into an animal. The trailer shows Colin Farell turning up to a hotel set up to find single people other halves. He has decided that if he does not 'make it' he wants to be a lobster.
The film has a great cast, Farell, Rachel Weisz, John C Riley to name a few and comes out on the 16th of this month.
A love story set in the near future where single people, according to the rules of The City, are arrested and transferred to The Hotel. There they are obliged to find a matching mate in 45 days. If they fail, they are transformed into an animal of their choosing and released into The Woods. A desperate Man escapes from The Hotel to The Woods where The Loners live and falls in love, although it is against their rules.
