I find it's quite hard to get a hold of film shorts, so its brilliant that the BAFTA shorts are being shown at cinemas, and released tomorrow which is my birthday, great timing! Since I left University the amount of short films I get to see has gone down considerably, so getting myself to the local cinema is a great way to see them. See the video attached for a peak at a few of the shorts some of which were hand picked by Shane Meadows (This is England).
Our annual Shorts Tour takes short films and animations nominated at this year's EE British Academy Film Awards to cinemas around the UK and abroad, celebrating a new crop of talented UK filmmakers. Find out more about the nominated films and book tickets at https://www.bafta.org/film/awards/sho... This year's films were chosen by an expert jury including filmmaker Shane Meadows (This Is England), actor and writer Mackenzie Crook (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Detectorists), director Bola Agbaje (Gone Too Far!) and writer Matt Charman (Bridge of Spies). The winners will be announced at the EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday 14 February.
