#GiveElsaAGirlfriend began earlier this month and now Idina Menzel (who gave her vocals to Elsa and belted out 'Let it Go') has backed the idea saying; "Disney's just gotta contend with that. I'll let them figure that out. No matter what, Elsa changed my life."
It does seem crazy that a princess is more likely to fall in love with a beast or an Ogre than another woman in animated films. It is time that young people from the LGBT community have a hero who represents them. Give the people what they want Disney!
Elsa’s storyline could help change this bleak lack of representation as she did not have a love interest of either gender in 2013’s original Frozen, which focused on the sisterly love between herself and her compassionate sibling Anna.
